Overview: Caltha conducted a Phase 1 ESA for this historic food processing plant. Past uses of the site had resulted in numerous releases of caustics and fuels. The site included active LUSTs that had impacted soils and groundwater, and resulted in off-site impacts. The assessment identified those impacts that effected the planned redevelopment of the site, which included significant excavation for underground utilities under existing buildings.
